The CCN is a partnership between Public Health – Seattle & King County (Public Health), Community and Faith based Organizations, and Community Leaders to ensure essential, and potentially, lifesaving information reaches all populations in King County. Groups impacted by inequities on a daily basis are at greater risk of significant impact during and after emergencies and help is needed to assure critical information is shared quickly, and in a manner that is accessible, with staff, clients and your community.
Three categories of email messages are sent via the CCN:
HEALTH ALERT: conveys the highest level of importance; warrants immediate action or attention. After-hours contact information may be used to contact organizations.
HEALTH ADVISORY: provides important information for a specific incident or situation, such as: severe weather safety, information on disease outbreaks, product contamination, and others.
EMAIL UPDATE: a non-emergency message that offers a mechanism to stay connected to Public Health and informed about opportunities that may benefit organizations, and their clients or staff. For example: free immunization clinics information, workshops and grant opportunities, CCN surveys.
