EHSF had two great presentations at our August 2017 Workgroup meeting.
Adam Shmid from King County Department of Community and Human Services, explained the details about the Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy, as passed by the King County Council. The levy will go before voters in November. His team will be developing the transition plan for first year expenditures if voters approve the levy.
Helena Stephens sits on the King County Children and Youth Advisory Board. This Board is responsible for making recommendations and monitoring distribution of levy proceeds impacting children and youth, such as Best Starts for Kids. You can find Helena’s presentation HERE. During her time sharing with us, she mentioned Eastside Pathway’s Promotores Survey Report. You can find the report HERE.
EHSF Members are welcome to send a representative from their organization to our monthly Workgroup meetings. Our next meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 12th, 9am at Youth Eastside Services.
