Best Starts for Kids is a voter-approved initiative passed in 2015 that has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in programs to foster children’s development by supporting wide-ranging early-intervention programs. It is funded through property taxes. Voters will decide in August on a proposed extension and expansion of the Best Starts for Kids levy.
BSK is in the final stages of completing the BSK Renewal Implementation Plan that will help guide the second Best Starts for Kids levy if renewed by King County voters. Before they complete the plan, the BSK team is inviting the community to respond to: “Did we get it right?”
Eastside Human Services Forum, the Alliance of Eastside Agencies and Eastside Pathways are co-hosting a community conversation on June 21 from 10 to 11:30 am. Please register here so you can join the conversation.
